John A. Trusty – Bio
Dr. John A. Trusty is an internationally acclaimed preacher, teacher, and author. His passion for the healing and nurturing of families is sought after in as far away places as the Caribbean, England, Kenya, and New Zealand. Dr. Trusty desires to educate and support families in a time when the family seems to be under tremendous attack. His hope is to provide resources, information, and counseling to those within his sphere of influence.
Most recently, Dr. Trusty has written a new book, “Why Some Pastors Cheat and What We Can Do to Help Them to be True”. With the problem of unfaithfulness in the pulpit swelling in many churches, Dr. Trusty answered the call and lent his gifts to help pastors understand the devastating affects of infidelity and the importance of maintaining marital purity.
Dr. Trusty graduated from Oakwood College with a BA in Theology and Sociology. He then attended Andrews University where he earned a Masters of Divinity Degree. After ten years of pastoral ministry, he realized the necessity of healing broken homes and thus attended Seton Hall University where he earned an Educational Specialist Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Later, Dr. Trusty attained a Doctor of Ministry degree from Howard University with concentration in Counseling.
Dr. Trusty is a License Professional Counselor and a License Marriage and Family Therapist. He has served in pastoral ministry for 31 years and presently is the director of Relationship Ministries for the Allegheny East Conference.
Dr. Trusty facilitates trainings in the public and private sector. These trainings include Leadership, Communication and Conflict Resolution, Anger Management, Emotional Intelligence, Understanding Generations in the Church and Workplace, Adult Relationship Development, Family, Parenting and Teen relationship training.
